Pop singer Funda Arar, released her first album "Sevgilerle" in 2000 followed by the second album which consisted of the duets she made with Kiraç 'Sevgiliye' came out in 2001. The album was awarded with the Best New Artist trophy by Magazine Journalists Association. In 2002, Arar released an album named "Alagül" in which she recorded a song from Erkin Koray called "Arapsaçi".
With the album "Sevda Yanigi", Funda Arar was awarded with the Best New Artist trophy by 31st Hürriyet Newspaper Golden Butterfly. After 2,5 years later, in 2006, she released another album titled "Son Dans" and with this album she was awarded with "Platin Award" by MÜ-YAP. After a 2 year break, she released two more albums called "Rüya" and "Zamanin Eli" and after these two, her last album "Askin Masum Çocuklari" has taken its place in music markets im 2011.
