British indie-pop band Fanfarlo takes their name from the Charles Baudelaire novella La Fanfarlo.
Everything began in 2006 with the move of the soloist Simon Balthazar from Sweden to London. While recording their first album, Reservoir (2009), he broke up with their guitarist Giles Davis. He put elements of folk, indie-rock and post-punk into their songs. The new album, Rooms Filled with Light, will be released in February 2012.
